About the teacher:
Darius Emadi is a dynamic Iranian-Polish-American clown, theatre-maker, and physical performer from New York City, currently based in Oslo. A graduate of the prestigious École Philippe Gaulier in France (2016–2018), Darius developed his unique comedic voice under the direct guidance of Philippe Gaulier.
Known for his energetic, anarchic style and ability to create deeply playful, emotionally resonant performances, Darius has performed and taught across Europe, the UK, the US, and Australia. His work has appeared at major festivals including Edinburgh Fringe, Adelaide Fringe, Brighton Fringe, Norway Clown Festival, Oslo Humorfest, Tampere Clown Festival, and Off-Hedda. He has performed in cities such as Paris, London, Oslo, Brighton, Atlanta, New York City, and is currently touring his solo clown show MIXTAPE, which will return to the international festival circuit in 2026.
