As a new skater, you’ll begin with our 12-week Freshmeat program, where you’ll learn skating basics, safe contact, and the WFTDA ruleset. After mastering those skills, you’ll move into Tier 2 for personalized coaching before becoming bout-eligible.
Our recruitment events include introductions, league culture, training expectations, safety gear walkthroughs, gameplay discussions, and watching our veteran skaters scrimmage so you can see derby in action. Recruitment is open to future skaters, referees, and volunteers. We can't wait to meet you!
