❓️WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
👉🏽 A VARIETY of ORIGINAL races for DIFFERENT classes of 1/10 scale on road RC cars.
👉🏽The track: SIMPLE. Cones or wood barriers.
👉🏽 QUICK SETUP, just like a street race would be.

👉🏽 The location will be at different spots throughout OTTAWA.

Ottawa’s Parking lot Wars, Street Racing
Street Racing will be held on the last weekend of every month starting April 28th 2024 and will end September 29th 2024.
Street Racing will consist of different types of races and different classes of 1/10 scale on road RC cars. The location will be at different spots throughout the city, location to be determined depending on availability. The track will consist of Cones or wood barriers. We want to try to keep it simple and fast for setup, just like a street race would be.
Type of Street Racing:
Racing track may consist of oval racing, E shape track.
We will race two cars at One time for three laps. The winner will Move on to the next round and the loser will go to the B round losers bracket.
Drag racing to and from, which means race to a predetermined cone, go around that cone and race back to where you started from.

Numbers of rounds/races in the day will be determined by the numbers of participants as this will be a knockoff race with a B class losers bracket.
Classes of cars:
Stock Class all 2S Lipo max
Stock Class Kyosho Fazer MK2, Traxxas 4TEC 2.0/3.0, Losi V100, HPI RS4 Sport 3, Tamiya TT01E/TT02 & Associated APEX2

Open class 2S Lipo max
Open class, anything on road 2wd 1/10 is allowed
Open class, anything on road 4x4 1/10 is allowed
Open class 1/10 2wd Short course truck, the track will have jumps.
Open class 1/10 4x4 Short course truck , the track will have jumps.
Stock
On road Stock Brushed on road 4x4.
On road Stock Brushed on road 2-wheel drive.
On road Stock means the car must have factory ESC, brushed motor and factory shocks.
Since this will be racing on pavement and gravel there is no tire restriction you can run any tires in any.
NO Gyro allowed. class.
Open class
On road Open class Brushless on road 4x4.
On road Open class Brushless on road 2-wheel drive.
NO Gyro allowed.
Open class means you can upgrade anything on your car.
Since this will be racing on pavement and gravel there is no tire restriction you can run any tires in any class.
Season/summer Points per Class:
Points will be awarded at the end of the day and counted for the whole summer; the driver must use the same car throughout the series/summer.
DNF will will end up last.
1st Place - 20 Points
2nd Place - 18 Points
3rd Place - 16 Points
4th Place - 14 Points
5th Place - 12 Points
6th Place - 10 Points
7th Place - 8 Points
8th Place - 6 Points
9th Place - 4 Points
10th Place - 2 Points

Prizes:
Portions of the money raised that day would go back towards the winners, first place, second place, third place of the day, The rest of the money will be put in the pot for the point leaders of the season/summer, first place, second place, third place.
Breakage:
if an on road stock car shocks, ESC or motor fails, it must be replaced with the same manufacturer's part.
We also need to find a sponsor to help pay for the material we will use for the track. If no sponsors are found to help pay for expenses, we will have to take it out of the entry fees.
Speed info:
John Kennedy has been doing some research on brushed RTR 1/10 onroad cars to use during these races, here's what he found for specs/performance (of box stock brushed top speed on 2S)
- Kyosho Fazer MK2 FZ02 or FZ02L (4WD oil gear diffs + oil shocks)
- ~26MPH
- Traxxas 4TEC 2.0/3.0 (4WD oil gear diffs + oil shocks)
- ~24MPH
- Losi V100 (this is old Vatterra V100) - (4WD, open front, locked rear diffs, FRICTION shocks)
- ~22MPH
- HPI RS4 Sport 3 - (4WD, oil gear diffs + oil shocks)
- ~21MPH
- Tamiya TT01E/TT02 - (4WD open front/rear diffs, FRICTION shocks, plastic bushings, not available as RTR, KIT only)
- ~17MPH
- Associated APEX2 (4WD open front/rear diffs, oil shocks, shorty battery only) APEX2SPORT cheaper with FRICTION shocks, Oillite Bushings)
- ~17MPH
