🥳Happy New Year Ladies!
👒Are you interested in finding a community of like-minded women who meet monthly, sew weekly and contribute to numerous local, state, national and international charities?
🤝Please consider joining a GFWC - General Federation of Womens' Club this year!
🫒Our Maywood Women's Club based in Corning is a very active group and we'd love to welcome new faces!
📆We meet monthly from September through May on first Wednesdays from 12 - 2:30 at our clubhouse at 902 Marin St. The only building in Corning on the National Register of Historic Places!
🌳The GFWC Willows Monday Afternoon Club meets monthly on 3rd Mondays beginning at 11:30AM at the Black Bear Diner in Willows, Glenn County.
🏔The GFWC Shasta District is a regional part of the California Federation of Women's Clubs (CFWC) and the larger General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC), uniting local women's clubs in Northern California for community service, education, and civic engagement, with clubs in areas like Corning, Anderson, and Durham focusing on local projects and leadership.
💜We organize events and initiatives like the International Day of Service to support causes such as fighting domestic violence.
8️⃣The GFWC Shasta District has 8 clubs serving their communities in Shasta, Tehama, Butte and Glenn Counties.
📋What We Do:
• Community Service: Clubs in the district perform volunteer work, support local traditions, and provide scholarships.
• Advocacy: They support the GFWC's focus on arts, education, healthy lifestyles, and civic involvement.
• Collaboration: Members from various clubs, like the Maywood Woman's Club (Corning) or Durham Woman's Club, work together on district-wide projects.
🎫If you'd like to see what we're all about, attending this conference would be a great way to do it . . . and Bring a Friend!
💌Here is the Call (invitation) to the Shasta District Conference on Feb. 7th 2026 at Patrick Ranch in Durham in Butte County.
