**UPDATE**🐴 Holiday Trail Quest 2025 – Event Cancelled 🐴
We are so grateful for the excitement and support from our equine and animal-loving community for the upcoming Holiday Trail Quest 2025 at Feather Creek Farm.
Out of an abundance of caution and following guidance from the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the event scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025. Recent confirmed cases of Equine Herpes Myeloencephalopathy (EHM) in horses at recent Texas events mean that hosting a public, horse-centered gathering could put both animals and attendees at unnecessary risk. EHM can spread through horse-to-horse contact, shared equipment, trailers, airborne droplets, and even via people who have handled exposed horses.
While we know many of you were excited to ride the trails, participate in the equine scavenger hunt, shop the Horse Lovers Market, or join the Equine Holiday Costume Contest, the safety of our horses and community comes first.
At this time, there is no rescheduled date, but we will share updates as soon as it is safe to plan this special event again.

Saddle up for a festive day of trail riding, holiday fun, and equine excitement at Feather Creek Farm in Norman, OK on Saturday, December 13, 2025, 8 AM – 4 PM! Explore barefoot-friendly, clearly marked trails across rolling hills with a 3–5 mile ride suitable for all disciplines and any saddle type. Ride at your own pace or join a leisure group ride, with obstacles for advanced riders and safe alternatives for beginners.
Tickets include ample trailer parking (no backing required), participation in the equine scavenger hunt, access to food vendors, and the Horse Lovers Market, a festive vendor area with gifts, gear, and treats for horse enthusiasts.
At 2 PM, enjoy a special equine first aid lesson with our guest speaker, learning how to build and customize a first aid kit for your horse. Then at 3:15 PM, join the Equine Holiday Costume Contest, where riders and horses can show off their holiday spirit for a chance to win ribbons in these categories: Best Holiday Spirit, Most Creative Costume or Outfit, Jingle Bell Award (most festive movement or sound), Reindeer Look-Alike, Judge’s Favorite, and Best Use of Sparkle.
