We are thrilled to invite you to our most fun Tennis Day Out Event this year. Like last year, this year too, we are planning to do Doubles-only Fun day.Okay folks, some bad and good news regarding the dayout. Bad news first. After much deliberation among committee members, we decided to cancel the ATC reservation on Sunday. The reason is, there is still 65% rain on Saturday and 50% on Sunday which means the courts will likely be pretty soaked up in Sunday morning and without a prolonged sunny spell, it will be very difficult to get the courts dry. Even if we use towel/roller to dry the courts on morning, it can still get wet after a 5 min rain comeback and we have to go back to square one. The ATC staff also recommended us to cancel. Now the good news is, we are not canceling the dayout. The plan is we’ll go to Weiss highschool in the morning, have some breakfast there and if there is favorable condition to play, we’ll start playing. This way, if there’s a washout, we won’t waste money on court fee, and if not, we’ll continue the dayout as planned. We know its not the outcome we expected, but we don’t have much to do against weather. Hopefully, if its not a complete washout, we’ll be able to pull something out, like a shorter version of the matches.
Bottom line is, we all are going to Weiss High School at Pfluggerville 8am this Sunday and at the very least, eat some breakfast and wait for mother nature to allow us some court time. See y’all!
