LIVERPOOL! Punk/new wave icons The Rezillos are heading to The Cavern Club in 2026 for a high-energy, technicolour blast of classic punk brilliance. ⚡️🔥Formed in Edinburgh in 1976, The Rezillos exploded onto the scene with their debut single ‘I Can’t Stand My Baby’, quickly becoming underground heroes thanks to plays from John Peel on BBC Radio 1.
What followed was a run of era-defining tracks —
✨ My Baby Does Good Sculptures
✨ Top of the Pops
✨ Destination Venus
— songs that helped shape the sound of late-70s punk and new wave.
Their landmark album ‘Can’t Stand the Rezillos’ was recorded at New York’s legendary Power Station studio, with the band soaking up the city’s punk spirit and even playing CBGB’s during downtime. The album went top 10 in the UK and remains a punk classic.
Now they’re bringing that unmistakable energy to Mathew Street for a rare Cavern Club show.
