Celebrate 45 Years of Mod Revival History
Legendary mod revivalists The Chords UK hit the road in celebration of the 45th anniversary of their iconic 1980 debut album, So Far Away. Fronted by Chris Pope, the original Chords’ guitarist and chief songwriter, the band will perform the album in its entirety, along with a set of timeless anthems from their back catalogue.
Formed in 1978 in South East London, The Chords quickly rose to prominence during the UK’s vibrant Mod Revival scene, notching up UK chart hits like “Maybe Tomorrow” and “Now It’s Gone”. Their powerful blend of punk energy and melodic pop remains as vital today as ever.
Joining them as special guests are fellow mod revival pioneers The Circles, hailing from the West Midlands. Known for underground classics like “Opening Up” and “Angry Voices”, The Circles bring authentic 1979 mod spirit to the stage, having achieved cult status despite a brief but brilliant career.
