🎶 Koru Beats – Horowhenua Youth Music Festival 🎶Horowhenua youth are facing the music!
Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō is proud to host Koru Beats – the musical concert focused entirely on the youth of Horowhenua.
Join us at Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō as rangatahi take to the stage in a showcase of up-and-coming musical talent from across the rohe. From solo and duo artists to full bands, be amazed as our local youth step up to show you what they’ve got in what will be, for some, their very first chance to perform live for an audience.
If that isn’t enough, some of our eager rangatahi will also be taking over a Friday Concert during the school holidays – Friday Concert Takeover, 3 October 2025 – before the main event on Saturday, 18 October 2025.
So come on in and show your support for our youth. Don’t miss your chance to say you were there when the next big musical talent hit the stage for the very first time!

Calling all Horowhenua youth! Are you an up-and-coming young musician or vocal artist? Have a song in your heart but nobody to hear it?
Te Takeretanga o Kura-hau-pō is proud to announce the return of Koru Beats – the day-long musical concert focused entirely on the youth of Horowhenua. Whether you’re an experienced musician or have never before taken the stage, if you have ever dreamed of getting your sound out there – this is your moment!
We are now taking inquiries from under-25 youth interested in participating. The Koru Beats concert will be held on Saturday, 18 October 2025. There will also be an opportunity to participate in our Friday Concert Takeover – a performance held between 12pm – 1pm on Friday, 3 October 2025.
Casting call closes Friday, 3 October 2025.
