In the third week (Wednesday, September 10, 2025), Control Club will be filled with the rich timbres of the Radio Romania Big Band, led by the charismatic Simona Strungaru, with special guests Italian saxophonist Stefano Di Battista and Romanian trumpeter Sebastian Burneci.
Their spectacular program places Enescu at the heart of the evening, with works like the “Piano Suite in D major” and excerpts from the “Chamber Symphony” reimagined for big band, alongside original compositions, cinematic jazz interpretations of Morricone and Rota, Mediterranean lyricism from Di Battista, and Burneci’s own creations—bringing the energy of great American big bands into the heart of Bucharest, refracted through Enescu’s spirit and the creativity of the guests.
