Join us for a rare and soul-stirring performance that transcends borders.
The Veil is not just a monologue—it is an echo of centuries,
a mask carved from history,
a whisper between life and death.
Adapted and performed by multidisciplinary artist Raja El Majzoub,
this original solo work blends spoken word, literature, and human testimony into a raw and poetic ritual.
Inspired by the writings of Hussein Barghouti, Mahmoud Darwish, and Tawfiq Zayyad,
The Veil invites the audience into a liminal space:
between the living and the dead,
between the exile and the homeland,
between what was lost—and what refuses to be forgotten.

🎭 What happens when the mask becomes your only face?
This is a performance for anyone who has ever been silenced, displaced, or remembered too much.

👤 ABOUT THE ARTIST
Raja El Majzoub is a third-generation Palestinian refugee from Lebanon.
He does not follow a specific theatrical tradition, instead building his work from lived experience—blending reality, fiction, memory, and fantasy. His performances explore religion, politics, society, exile, and the body—with a fearless gaze and a poetic soul.
Raja’s work collapses the boundaries between East and West, sacred and profane, silence and voice.
He invites the audience not just to watch—but to reflect, to feel, and to remember.
He is widely known for his solo piece The Dice Player, inspired by Mahmoud Darwish, which earned a Broadway World Award nomination for Best Solo/Cabaret Performance.
