Meet the naughtiest children in opera! Cautionary Tales is a devilishly fun and mischievous production for ages 7+ that proves opera can be clever, contemporary, and wildly entertaining. Composer Errollyn Wallen’s score brings Hilaire Belloc’s twisted tales to life – with Matilda (who lied), Henry (who played with fire), and other misbehaving characters portrayed by: Leanne Fitzgerald, Eiméar Harper, William Pearson, and Dylan Rooney.
Directed by Sarah Baxter and conducted by Stephen Barlow, the show features imaginative design by Zia Bergin-Holly and costumes by Jenny Whyte. It’s produced in collaboration with The Lir Academy and Opera Collective Ireland.
Whether you're introducing young ones to opera for the first time or simply in need of a brilliant afternoon out, this is a must-see!
