This isn't a traditional class—it's your chance to paint at your own pace in a fun, relaxed studio environment. Our lead teacher, Brooke Schmedicke, will be on hand for creative assistance and to answer any questions you have.
As a BFA graduate in Painting and Drawing, Brooke is passionate about fostering creative communities. She is a talented artist who works with a variety of mediums and is known for her bold use of color and unique textures. What is a "Saturday Open Studio"?
The Open Studio is...

The Open Studio is NOT...
👉🏻 An ongoing weekly class.
👉🏻 An opportunity to bring a project from home to work on.
👉🏻 A free studio session. The fee includes all materials and access to instruction.
What is a "Paint-Along"?
A Paint-Along is a self-guided painting project. You'll choose from over 100 different acrylic painting options.
Each one comes with everything you need to succeed:
👉🏻 All materials included (canvas, paints, brushes, etc.).
👉🏻A comprehensive, easy-to-follow, step-by-step written guide.
👉🏻The option to watch a video tutorial on your phone for extra guidance.
⭐️ How It Works: Open Studio Q&A
How do I join?
Just drop in! Upon arrival, you'll register and pay at the front counter. You can then choose your Paint-Along project and get started.
⭐️ What is the cost?
The cost of the open studio is $30 per person or $45 for two people. We accept credit cards, Venmo, and cash.
⭐️ Is this for kids and families?
Absolutely! This is a great opportunity for families to paint together. We welcome painters of all ages, as long as an adult is present to paint with any children under 15.
⭐️ Are there age restrictions?
Yes. All painters under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult who is also painting, unless otherwise approved by the instructor.
⭐️ What other activities might be happening?
While you're painting, other sessions like pre-booked private lessons or Splatter Studio sessions may be running in other areas. This just adds to the vibrant, creative energy of the space!
⭐️ Do you offer other types of art besides painting?
Yes, we do! Our other art forms are offered in a workshop format and can be found on our Upcoming Events schedule. We're always adding new workshops for things like creative journaling, collage, and mixed media.
