We're excited to announce "Artists for Victoria Park," a day on the green where you're invited to come and draw, paint or sketch Victoria Park in all its glory! Not creatively inclined? No problem! Bring your family, friends and children for a relaxing day out on the green, soaking up the beauty of the park while watching art come to life. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just beginning, this is your chance to get creative while supporting the fight to save Brisbane’s largest inner-city green space.Special Guest: Renowned artist David Hinchliffe will be there to offer advice, inspiration, and encouragement to artists of all levels. Let’s come together to celebrate the park’s natural beauty and raise awareness to protect it for future generations.
📅 Date: Monday, 27 January 2025 (public holiday)
⌚️Time: 8:00AM - 12:00PM
📍Location: Victoria Park / Barrambin - check in at the first BBQ next to the Function Centre
🅿️Parking: Car parks are located to your right as you drive into the main entrance of the park. Parking is also available on-street on Gilchrist Ave and Herston Road (see image below)
Bring Your Own:
💚For Artists: Bring your own materials (easel, paints, pencils, or whatever sparks your creativity) and capture the essence of this iconic park.
💚For Observers and Art Lovers: Pack a picnic, wander the park, and enjoy the magic as incredible artworks come to life around you.
