Hey Freaks! It’s time to trade the trail dust for charcoal smoke and finally meet the wild humans behind the profile pics.
We’re throwing a BBQ-style potluck picnic and we want YOU there. This is your official invite to eat, laugh, mingle, hike, and maybe see someone attempt to flip a burger like it’s the Olympics.
🎯 Here’s the Game Plan:
✅‼️⚠️Everyone attending needs to Venmo $5 to @debbiekrumpe to help cover the shelter reservation.⚠️‼️
✅ We’re asking for payment up front this time because Percy Warner (and similar spots) can be a bit pricier — and we want to secure a good spot early before they’re gone.
Think of it as your ticket to a day of sunshine, socializing, and snacks. Once enough folks RSVP and submit payment, we’ll lock it in! No pay, no play — and no picnic panic at the last minute.

We need 2–3 brave souls to step up and man the charcoal grills like champions. First volunteers to sign up are exempt from food duty (unless they want to bring something too). Just bring your BBQ tools and your ego. We’ll provide the meat. You provide the sizzle. 🔥

🧢 Important fine print‼️: If you sign up to grill, please be reliable. We’re counting on you. This isn’t a casual “maybe I’ll swing by” kind of job — this is official apron-wearing, tong-wielding responsibility. Flaking on grill duty is the BBQ version of ghosting... and nobody wants to explain to a hungry crowd why their hot dog is just a cold stick. 😅

🐶 Dog Lovers, Rejoice!
Planning to bring your four-legged hiking buddy? Dogs are welcome at Percy Warner shelters! Just keep these in mind:
Dogs must be leashed at all times (6 ft max)
No off-leash roaming unless you're in the fenced dog park at Edwin Warner
Must have ID tags and current rabies tags
And yes — clean up after your pup like the legend you are
Bonus points if your dog wears a backpack or poses for group selfies

🎒 Bonus Tip: Wear or bring your hiking gear! Once we’re fed and full of dad jokes, we might hit a trail for some bonus bonding and nature therapy.
