Join me for a creative wellbeing workshop on Thursday 8th January at the beautiful studio space that is The Hidden Hive Workshop 🐝 for some mindful macrame.
👌 2.5hrs ‘just for you’ to get a bit creative ☺️and learn the basics of macrame🧶 (knotting cords) and make a stunning up-cycled lantern 🫙♻️to use in your home or garden.🪴
🏡Workshops are small groups, ideal to get you started in this satisfying art form, are lots of fun, 🤩 and are always fuelled by loads of conversation, 🤣laughter with tea ☕️🫖and a nice large slice of home made cake!🍰
🙌This workshop is hands on and the perfect first step for anybody, who wants to learn the mindful practise of macrame and make a macrame lantern perfect for your home or as a gift to light your home or garden.
🥰ABOUT THE WORKSHOP🌟💡🫙
Macrame is a beautifully relaxing craft and a great way of relieving stress!🙏
You’ll be shown how to make your own hand knotted lantern and learn some basic macrame knots as well as how to form these around an ♻️ upcycled, repurposed glass jar. 🫙
Once you have learned the simple steps to knotting your first jar you’ll get in the flow and will want to make more and more!
Not only will you create a macrame piece that you can proudly say you made yourself, but you will also take home some newfound knowledge and a sense of accomplishment and pride.
Your finished lantern will make the perfect new addition to your home or a thoughtful gift for a loved one.

This workshop is perfect for beginners - no prior experience is needed.

• All materials and equipment to make a stunning macrame lantern from knotted macrame cord and a simple upcycled and repurposed jar.
• Choose from a selection of colourful cotton cords.
• Refreshments are included with unlimited mugs of tea and coffee and a BIG slice of Nicky’s delicious homemade cake.
(Yes! you can even BYOB if you like... I'll provide the glasses)
•By the end of the workshop your gorgeous handmade macramé lantern to take home!
