This October, Discover Yoga invites you to step into a new kind of Friday night ritual — one that nourishes not only your body, but also the nervous system and inner networks we often overlook.
Our Self-Care Fridays series is designed for absolute beginners and regular students who want to slow down, reconnect, and move mindfully. Over three weeks, you’ll explore foundational yoga practices while also discovering how gentle, intentional movement can calm and restore the deeper layers of your being.
Week 1 (Oct 10): Foundations & Breath
Learn simple postures, breathwork, and mindful alignment. We’ll explore how slowing down helps the body feel safe and supported, allowing the nervous system to soften and reset.
Week 2 (Oct 17): Flow with Ease
Experience gentle sequences and guided transitions that connect breath to movement. You’ll notice how fluid motion nourishes subtle networks in the body — improving circulation, reducing tension, and creating ease from the inside out.
Week 3 (Oct 24): Confidence to Continue
Bring it all together with balance, core stability, and restorative relaxation. We’ll highlight practical tools you can take into any yoga class, as well as self-care practices you can use to unwind the mind and settle the nervous system beyond the mat.
Each session closes with soothing relaxation to leave you grounded and refreshed, ready for the weekend. Think cost props, low lit candles, essential oils.
Whether you’re brand new or simply seeking a gentler pace, this series offers a supportive space to explore yoga as self-care.
