This is an introductory class to the world of burlesque! Discover your inner showgirl and learn how to build confidence to mesmerize yourself and the audience 💃
In this class, you will learn the foundations of burlesque while working with the simple yet deeply iconic showgirl prop - the long gloves. We will focus on posture, hand movements, and the classic "tease and reveal" removal techniques.
This class is designed for newcomers and burlesque fans alike to build your confidence in a fun, memorable way.

⏰ Time: 13:00-14:30 (90 min with a small break)
📍 Address: East Side Dance Studio Oostzijde 381 Atelier, A3 10, 1508 EP Zaandam
💃 Level: Open level; no prior experience with dance or burlesque is needed.
🗣️ Language: The workshop is in English.
🏁 Arrival: Please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop, so you have enough time to change clothes and settle in.
🔑 Entrance: The front door is always locked. The instructor will open it just before class and close it again just after.
🚗 Parking: Free parking is available on the street. Guests (both cars and bicycles) are asked to park in the two parking spaces at Hellema (within the yellow and white gates).

WHAT TO WEAR & BRING:
Wear clothes that allow movement, for example, leggings + sleeveless top or bodysuit is recommended.
Long gloves are the star of this class. The instructor will have gloves available to borrow, but you are also very welcome to bring your own pair.
Footwear to your liking. Indoor heels or just socks are equally welcome. Please make sure that your footwear is clean and does not leave marks on the floor.
