As part of our community grant from Westmill Solar Co-operative, we will be running a subsidised Solar-powered Circuit Workshop for children. While Freelearners will be putting large solar panels on the outbuilding built by the Peers’ Projects Learning Community, children are welcome to join us for a lesson in solar power, circuits, and a craft. Children will leave with their own miniature versions of ‘Steve’ the shed, complete with solar-powered fairy lights.
Spaces are limited to just 12 children. Parents may drop children off at the Hogacre Common pavilion for a 10:30 start and collect them from 15:30. Please bring a packed lunch and dress for the weather as we hope to enjoy some outside games and activities as brain-breaks. If you feel your child needs extra support, parents are welcome to stay. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional children/ siblings in the workshop space. Hogacre Common has a lovely outdoor space which families are welcome to stay and enjoy if the weather permits.
