鹿特丹放映活動 “Not the Foreign Force” Screening Event - Rotterdam

伏流將於5月在荷蘭阿姆斯特丹、海牙、鹿特丹等城市舉辦關於白紙運動的紀錄片《烏魯木齊中路》的放映活動。活動主要意義在於回顧白紙運動，並且聲援因為拍攝和發佈本片而被捕的導演陳品霖，以及其他在此次運動中被捕和至今下落不明的人。白紙運動是2022年在中國爆發的一系列抗議活動。事件的起因是一場在烏魯木齊發生的大火，人們由於居住樓宇的封控措施無法逃生而釀成慘劇，這次事件激發了人們對於中國大陸長達三年嚴苛的疫情管控措施的大規模抗議活動，上海、北京、成都甚至全球各地均爆發了相關的抗議活動。人們手持白紙，以表達被噤聲的不滿和對管控措施的抗議。

“Lethe Flow” is going to screen the documentary “Not the Foreign Force”, which is about the “A4 Revolution / White Paper Protests” in 2022, in Amsterdam, the Hague, and Rotterdam etc. in May, to support the arrested director Chen Pin-lin (Plato). This event is about recalling the collective memory and showing our support for director Pinlin CHEN, who was arrested for making and releasing this documentary, as well as others who were arrested or have been missing since the protests. “A4 Revolution” was a series of protests that erupted in China in 2022. It was sparked by a fire in Urumqi where people tragically couldn’t escape due to lockdown measures in their residential building. This tragedy triggered large-scale protests against the stringent epidemic control measures in mainland China over three years. Those protests broke out in Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, and even globally. People held up blank A4 papers to express their suppressed dissatisfaction and protest the lockdown measures.

這也是同期全球各大城市自發接力放映、聲援行動的一部分。目前美國、加拿大、日本、德國、法國、英國等地均有華人社群加入本次聲援活動。我們呼籲大家關注因白紙抗議而失去自由的人，包括被判刑三年的維吾爾族大學生卡米萊·瓦依提@freekamile 和被二度刑拘的維吾爾族歌手亞夏爾。

These events are part of a voluntary international relay screening and support campaign. Chinese communities in the United States, Canada, Japan, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and other places have joined this support activity. We call for a global campaign and urge everyone to be in solidarity with those who lost their freedom because of the protest, such as Uyghur college student Kamile Wayit (sentenced to 3 years) @freekamile and singer Uigga (arrested for the second time now).
