《天羽 * 星蓮》以蓮花展翅飛向星空的詩歌象徵意義，探索自我實現的萌芽、愛與成長、生活的考驗、世間經歷的苦難以及通往精神之愛、關懷與和平的啟示之旅。這趟內在旅程不可或缺的一部分是發現宇宙中所有事物的星狀相互連結。
不同飛行階段的蓮花、想像中的鳥類和漂浮的雲彩 -- 詩意靈感來自於香港及世界各地池塘、濕地和森林中的星蓮和珍稀鳥類、古代神話、現代觀星以及對鳥類、蜻蜓和蝴蝶的飛行空氣動力學的觀察。
回顧敦煌壁畫雕刻，展覽中一些繪畫具紋理或雕塑性質，質感如雲海或鳳羽。還有一些繪畫源自空間的起伏和身體的呼吸。繪畫裝置以三角雕塑和內化的星形映射形式出現。詩意動作和舞蹈相結合創造出行走和飛行點與線，展現天圓地方和宇宙浩瀚無垠的體驗。

藝術家出身於一個有著不同宗教信仰的家庭，童年到佛寺、為和尚參考敦煌壁畫畫蓮花雲的經歷是她的靈感來源之一。聖誕節和冬至期間在香港公園附近舉辦的特別活動—睡蓮池和鳥林—也探索了藝術、舞蹈、自然、生態和靈性之間的聯繫。
Transit in space-time: Walk and immerse within a trail of star lotuses up in the sky bird-clouds, poetic images and light… Explore cosmic colours and meanings … knitted together in the dream catchers of the dawn of awakening…
unveils the poetic symbolism of lotus spreading wings to reach upwards to the starry sky, exploring the budding of self-realization, love and growing up, the trials of life, sufferings experienced in the world and the journey towards the revelation of spiritual love, care and peace. Integral to this journey is the inner discovery of starry interconnection of all things in the universe.
The inspirations behind the poetics of lotus at different stages of flight, imaginary birds and floating clouds come from star lotus and rare birds in ponds, wetlands and forest in Hong Kong and around the world, ancient mythologies, modern stargazing and flight aerodynamics of birds, dragonflies and butterflies.
Recalling Dunhuang grottoes and carvings, some paintings in the exhibition are textural or sculptural in nature. Other paintings are realized from the undulations of spaces and the breathing body. The painting installation come into being in triangular sculptural form with internalized star mapping. Poetic movement and dance create different points and lines of walking and flight, revealing the experience of the round spherical sky and the angled positions of the land as well as the vastness of the universe.
The poetry, dance and paintings pay tribute to the efforts of ecological conservation of the wetland and forests. In the vast universe, we also sincerely pay tribute to the people we miss in our hearts and the mysterious origins of encounters and experiences, with heartfelt gratitude and infinite thoughts...
The artist comes from a family, with different religions and beliefs, and her childhood experience of going to Buddhist temple and of painting lotus clouds referencing Dunhuang wall paintings for the monk is one source of inspiration. The special events taking place during Christmas time and the winter solistice, and in the vicinity of the Hong Kong Park - waterlily pond and aviary forest of birds - also explore the connection between art, dance, nature, ecology and spirituality.

參與者將在星雲夢嚮導的陪伴下漫步在三角星軌，了解鳳凰、青鳥的神話以及敦煌古石窟的意象，睡蓮的象徵和精神意義，以及獨特的飛行和移動方式…
藝術家將分享詩意靈感，參加者可閱讀詩歌（中英文譯本），進一步了解詩意意象。導賞後可參加特別活動(現場表演或即興創作或手工製作工作坊)，詳情請參閱特別活動時間表/說明。
Accompanied by a nebula dream guide, participants will take a walk through the triangular star trail, to find out more about the myths of the phoenix and the blue bird and the imageries in ancient Dunhuang grottoes, symbolic and spiritual meanings of the star lotus and the unique way of flight and movement…
Artist will share inspirations for poetic creation, and participants may read the poetry (written in Chinese with English translation) to learn more about poetic imageries. After guided tour, participants may join special events (live performance or improvisation or craft making creative workshop). For details, please see special event timetable and description.

Over the ocean of lotus beads, the seed is waiting to be risen. The blue star lightens up the sky, and the night becomes day. Lotus rises up from murky waters to the sky, spreading wings to fly with the stars. The shape, spirit, meaning and perspectives of the blue starry scarf and long fans create poetic rhythm, feelings and metaphors, with the dreaming and poetics of the flight of the birds, butterfly, dragonfly and clouds unrolled with the movement of the fan...

Together, poetic movements and dance reveal poetic symbols of the seed of phoenix flying up from the bottom of the water to the sky, blue bird sending messages of love to faraway places, sunbird floating in the nebula, the transformative flight of dragonfly and butterfly upon the lotus pond and purple heron sailing with the star lotus trail…
From the open sea of triangular starry connections, star lotus rise up to the air beyond all obstacles, as if birds awaken from deep sleep on earth, spreading wings over clouds in circles, the experience of the spherical sky and the angled land as well as the vastness of the universe is unveiled.

, a poetic dance short film, unveils the poetic symbolism of lotus spreading wings to reach upwards to the starry sky, the budding of self-realization, love and growing up, the trials of life, sufferings experienced in the world and the journey towards the revelation of spiritual love, care and peace. Audience may converse with artist to discuss the symbolic meanings of eastern fan dance, the connectedness with birds, and the expression of spirituality. Explore how the sense of moving clouds, flight and stars, and the shape of musical instrument or sound, inspire the movement in poetry and dance. Artist may perform poetic improvisation during or after screenings, open to participation.

As part of your imaginative journey, the artist will guide you to look at the different colors and varieties of lotus flowers and the colorful symbolism of birds, dragonflies and butterflies. Use papers and colors provided to create a unique cloud-shaped Christmas lotus card, Winter Solistice star decoration or a memento with messages of love for your loved ones. If you wish, you may also leave your creation behind to become part of the star trail of the exhibition. In the special art event on 22 Dec Sun, the workshop will involve improvisation and drawing with dance and body movement.

香港公園與池塘觀鳥園生態步行 / 展覽導覽 Eco-Walk of the Hong Kong Park Pond and Aviary followed by Exhibition Tour
準時在香港公園噴泉廣場集合。沿著池塘及觀鳥園漫步，了解池塘生態及珍稀鳥類，並在藝術家帶領下參觀展覽與星蓮鳥有關的詩歌/繪畫。導賞結束後，參加者還可以參加其他特別的創意藝術活動，包括工作坊/即興/ 詩意創作。生態步行的經驗可成為靈感。
Meet on time at the Fountain Plaza of the Hong Kong Park. Take a walk along the pond and the Aviary to learn about the pond ecology and rare birds, followed by guided tour of the poetry/ paintings relating to star lotus and the birds in the exhibition. After the guided tour, participants may also join other special creative arts events, including workshop or improvisation. The experience of the eco-walk could become inspiration.

陳品仰 跨媒介藝術家 --- 創作包含環境表演、獨立實驗電影、視覺藝術、生態詩歌等。熱衷旅行和學習新事物，大部分藝術作品都從旅程或遊學過程中獲得靈感。當中很多作品都集中關注品仰一直關注靈性、社區參與/大自然生態等主題。跨媒介展覽/表演《森水 呼吸之光脈》--- Unit 12 牛棚藝術村（2022）和 JCCAC L1 藝廊（2023）--- 開啟了在這本中英文雙語生態詩歌導覽中閱讀和漫步的體驗。以及在Kino Eaton Hotel 放映實驗詩歌電影討論了意象、生態詩歌和記憶（2023 年）。
陳品仰於2018年在浸會大學視覺藝術學院完成視覺藝術碩士學位，獲蘇黎世藝術大學與浸會大學視覺藝術學院合辦之跨文化合作證書。其詩歌電影《鳳凰石在籠中的航行》 獲選在FESTIVAL ANGAELICA電影節上映（美國2021 年）/獲一個地球獎（印度2022 年）官方評選。表演/行為藝術影片《聆聽風的顏色》在網上行為藝術節 (Online Performance Art Festival 2021年) 即時播映。作為蘇黎世-香港跨文化合作（2017）的一部分，參與各種跨學科合作展覽/表演裝置，包括：空虛之鏡（XXX畫廊），浮動身份（Connecting Space) 和九龍公園 – 你就是你所吃的 (Kaitak Campus, AVA)。表演/詩歌短片《油麻地：綠色自畫像》（2018 年）參與小息跨媒介創作室 《我們的海在哪裡？島嶼幻想曲》的多媒體展演。
品仰有公共/社區藝術經驗 - 領導一個由世界自然基金會 (WWF) 大嶼山海邊的垃圾升級回收藝術項目。她還致力於壁畫項目，將圖像與環境和身體體驗聯繫起來--- 近期亦在新落成的展能中心，完成【尋找我們的形象】。品仰創作的舞蹈/音樂/詩歌/錄像《水邊的簕杜鵑》參與香港教育劇場論壇 (TEFO) (2021) 在大埔黑盒劇場的三門仔公共藝術社區表演。她在救世軍的支持下，給住在三門仔漁村的孩子們舉辦社區壁畫活動。
品仰的靈感來自於她在意大利杜伊諾（亞得里亞海聯合世界學院 (UWC)）的學習和生活經歷---UWC 是一項全球教育運動，使教育成為團結各方人民、國家和文化以實現和平和可持續未來的力量。她在牛津大學獲得考古學和人類學學士學位（一等，邁耶斯坦獎），專注於視覺人類學、遷移、身份和表徵以及生態學。她的親密家庭成員有不同的宗教和精神追求，她對不同宗教和精神實踐的想法持開放態度。
Maria Pinn Young Chan Cross-disciplinary artist – with a focus on painting/ visual art, visual poetry, experimental film, and performance. Inspired by travels, encounters with different cultures and found objects, her art projects have focused on spirituality, ecology and community engagement. Her multimedia exhibitions and performances at Unit 12 Cattle Depot Artist Village (2022), and JCCAC L1 Gallery (2023) open up the experience of reading and strolling through this bilingual eco-poetry guide, and her screening of experimental poetry films at Kino Eaton Hotel discussed imageries, eco-poetry and memory (2023).
Maria completed her MA in Visual Arts with the Academy of Visual Arts, HKBU in 2018, with a certificate in Trans-cultural Collaboration. Her poetry film received official selections at FESTIVAL ANGAELICA, US (2021) and at One Earth Awards, India (2022). Her live performance art joined the Online Performance Art Festival (2021). Previously, Maria has worked on various cross-disciplinary collaborative exhibitions/ performance/ installations as part of Ecology and Matters of Co-Existence - Zurich-HK Trans-cultural Collaboration (2017), including: Mirror of Emptiness (XXX Gallery), Floating Identities (Connecting Space) and Kowloon Park – You are What you Eat (Kaitak Campus, AVA). She also created a cross-disciplinary poetry film as part of Littlebreath Creative Workshop's Our Sea, A Rhapsody of the Isle> (2018).
Maria has public / community art experience. She led rubbish collection and up-cycling art workshops on Lantau Island for community participants and she curated the works from the workshop for an exhibition organised by the WWF and the Tung Chung community association (2018). She continues to work on community art. Maria created a dance, music and poetry performance (2021) as part of TEFO's performance on Tai Po Sam Mun Tsai at the Tai Po Blackbox Theater. Maria worked on a community mural project for children living in the fishing village of Sam Mun Tsai.
Maria is inspired by her experience of learning and living in Duino - Italy (United World College of the Adriatic (UWC)) – UWC is a global educational movement making education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. Her BA in Archaeology and Anthropology (First Class, Meyerstein Prize) at the University of Oxford focused on visual anthropology, migration, identity and representation, and ecology. Her close family members have different religions and spiritual pursuits, and she is open to ideas from different religions and spiritual practices.
