The Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra (HKYSO) will take the stage with a richly evocative repertoire, and embark on a journey of fantasy to exotic lands with music aficionados!
The HKYSO will open the concert with the lively and whimsical overture from Smetana’s comic opera THE BARTERED BRIDE 👰. The emerging cellist 🎻 cum HKYSO alumnus Alex Lau and the orchestra will jointly present Dvořák’s CELLO CONCERTO IN B MINOR, and unfurl the passionate soul of Bohemia through music intertwined with majesty and tenderness🎼. Rimsky-Korsakov’s timeless SCHEHERAZADE 🕌 will spin a tapestry of 1,001 enchanted tales into a vibrant ode to love 💞 underneath a Middle Eastern night sky🎆.
