What is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced “ray-kee”) is a Japanese healing practice that channels universal life force energy to promote healing, relaxation, balance, and harmony in the body, mind, and spirit.
- “Rei” = universal or spiritual wisdom
- “Ki” = life force energy
Together, Reiki means “universal life force energy” — the energy that connects all living beings and supports physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Reiki is not a religion. It honors all spiritual paths and can be practiced alongside any faith. Its purpose is to support healing, personal growth, and energetic balance.
What is Holy Fire® Reiki?
Holy Fire® Reiki, introduced by William Lee Rand and the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT), is a modern evolution of traditional Usui Reiki. This gentle yet powerful energy works continuously, respects free will, and provides deep healing without distress.

Day 1 – Reiki I: Foundations & Healing Techniques
No prerequisites required
- History of Reiki: Usui, Hayashi, Takata, the Gakkai, and Holy Fire®
- Reiki Ideals + Five Spiritual Principles
- The Three Heavens & Reiki’s role in spiritual evolution
- Energy basics: chakras, aura, and human energy flow
- Self-healing & healing others using hand placements
- Traditional Japanese techniques: Gassho meditation, Byosen scanning, Reiji-ho, Kenyoku, Gyoshi-ho
- Ethics, boundaries, and energy hygiene
- Holy Fire® III Reiki I Placement + Certificate
- Journaling & group integration
Day 2 – Reiki II: Advanced Techniques & Symbols for Empowerment
Prerequisite: Reiki I – Usui or Holy Fire®
- Three sacred Reiki symbols: Power, Harmony, and Distance
- How to draw, activate, and apply symbols for emotional, spiritual, and personal empowerment
- Distant healing across time and space (Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen)
- Techniques for emotional release and healing spiritual or religious trauma
- Developing intuitive healing & ethical practice
- Holy Fire® III Reiki II Placement + Certificate
- Partner practice, journaling, and group sharing
