Event Overview:
Step into I Am A Genius, a vibrant celebration of Detroit women’s brilliance, creativity, and leadership! This free community event is a collaboration between Shakespeare in Detroit and Metropolitan Museum of Design Detroit, bringing together art, storytelling, and interactive experiences for a night of inspiration and connection.
What to Expect:
- Gallery Walk: Explore stunning portraits and short video stories of Detroit women leaders, captured by renowned photographer Chuk Nowak.
- Meet the Visionary Team: Get inspired by Morgan Breon, Creative Director and visionary behind the series, and Sam White, Director of the fall mainstage production Jane Anger.
- Interactive Selfie Station: Try on a Jacobean collar ruff and crown, and scan the QR code to watch Shakespeare in Detroit’s costume designer explain the history of this iconic accessory.
- Community Celebration: Light refreshments, panel discussion about the exhibit, and opportunities to connect with fellow attendees.
