✨Over a decade ago, alongside DJs like Herman Saiz and Ria, Anirvan Deva played a pivotal role in bringing Ecstatic Dance to NZ. Since then, he has collaborated with local legends at festivals, retreats and conscious gatherings that celebrate music, connection and expanded awareness.
Anirvan Deva’s passion for music is infused with mystery and spirituality, an unique blend of electronic sounds ranging from organic bouncy basslines with a deep soulful groove, to atmospheric textures, often interwoven with mantras.
Each of his DJ sets are a true sound journey, where the listener reconnects with deeper layers of themselves, dancing through the vibrations of the world and soul.
Anirvan Deva is not only an artist, he’s also a Rajadhiraja Yoga practitioner and a deep thinker who explores spiritual and mystical themes, drawing from ancient traditions like Tantra and Yoga, as well as current issues, to fuel his reflections on global and metaphysical transformations.

The Ecstatic Dance will begin at 7:30pm, please ensure you arrive by this time.
✨Anirvan Deva’s Ecstatic Dance is an inward journey, a form of dynamic meditation designed to create a safe, welcoming space for individual and collective expression. It’s a place of freedom, where you can fully let go, dance exactly as you feel, without judgment or expectations. There are no steps to learn or follow; it’s simply the joy of moving authentically, enjoying your own dance or exploring creative movement with others with an open heart.
Before we dance, we’ll open the space with a short guided meditation to align our hearts, attune to the same frequency, and prepare our minds for the experience. The session begins gently, with slow, flowing music to warm and stretch the body. It gradually builds into more rhythmic and percussive tracks that invite a range of moods and movements, rising toward an ecstatic peak. We’ll close with Shavasana (a deep relaxation, either sitting or lying down) followed by a moment of quiet integration. ✨
Chai, Snacks and Snugs will be available all through the evening, kitchen and outdoor spaces available for chats while we dance, keeping the dance floor space where we commune with our body instead of words.
