⚕️Emergency First Aid at Work ⚕️EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK (1DAY)
Who should attend?
This course is suitable for anyone who requires the basic knowledge of Emergency First Aid. Delegates must be at least 16 years of age for certification.
The course aims and objectives
The purpose of the course is to give delegates an understanding of how to provide basic life-saving first aid treatment in the workplace.
By the end of the course, delegates will:
Understand the Health and Safety regulations
Be able to administer basic first aid
Understand what to do and what not to do in an emergency situation
Be able to maintain and use the first aid box and understand its contents
Be able to keep accurate records of incidents in the logbook
Course outline:
Health and Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981
The role of the first aider
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED)
Catastrophic Bleeding (this is risk-rated so will be taught if required)
Choking
Shock
Bleeding
Eye Injuries
Poisoning
Burns and Scalds
Broken Bones
Heart Attacks and Strokes
Diabetes
Seizures/Epilepsy
Asthma
First Aid Kits

Location
We can offer courses on company premises for a maximum of 12 delegates or upcoming open courses at our training center in Ipswich
Certification
Delegates are assessed throughout the course by the trainer and need to complete a written assessment at the end of the course. Successful delegates will receive a Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work certificate. Certificates are valid for 3 years and then delegates will need to re-sit the qualification to remain qualified (this must be attended no later than 28 days after the expiry on the original certificate)
