⚔️ DIVIDE & CONQUER ⚔️This event combines two formats we all love — KOB and Blind Draw — into one epic night of 4s volleyball!
You sign up as a partner pair and will play your first match together. After that, you will “Divide” and play the rest of pool play as individuals, similar to a Blind Draw. Teams will be randomized, and your individual performance matters.
At the end of pool play, you and your partner will “Reunite.” Your individual point differentials are added together and used to rank your original pair against the other pairs.
From there, pairs will be combined with other pairs for bracket play, which will run similar to a KOB format. Strong pool play = better positioning heading into the bracket as you try to Conquer the competition.
This format rewards chemistry, adaptability, and consistency — you need to play well with your partner and without them.

Check-In: 6:00 PM
Balls Up: 6:30 PM
Ends: ~12:00–1:00 AM (bracket finalists—plan accordingly)
*Being Late Will Result In A Sub or Games Being Shortened

🎮 Format
• 3-4 rounds of pool play (games to 21, straight scoring)
• New randomly generated teammates each round*
• Everyone advances to single-elimination bracket
• Bracket teams based on pair's point differential 📊
• Upper / Lower bracket if numbers allow ( Format will be based on time)
*Teams and genders will be balanced as best as possible—random format means repeat teammates may happen.
🏆 Prizing
• Upper Bracket: Venmo payout to 1st & 2nd
• Lower Bracket: Entry fee / shirts refunded to 1st
• Additional prizes may be added based on turnout
📌 Attendance & Subs
• Late arrivals may result in point penalties, shortened matches, or temporary replacement
• Subs allowed during pool play only with opposing team approval
• No subs in bracket play (except injury)
📏 Gameplay Rules
• No restrictions on serving
• Directional blocking is allowed
• Blocks do not count as a touch
• Open Hand Recieve is Alllowed If Recieved and Released Without Error (No double contact, lifts, etc..)
• Setting Over Is Allowed If Its Clean and Square
• To promote play, doubles on sets are allowed if ball stays on your side / if a set completely crosses the plane of the net, the point is awarded to the opponent
• No double contacts (left arm/right arm)
• No lifts, carries, open-hand tips
• No net or foot faults
• Pursuit allowed — don’t interfere
• Dispute = replay 🔁
🚫 No outside alcohol allowed at Woodlands
