Carnegie-Stout Public Library will show the movie "The Phoenician Scheme" on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the Aigler Auditorium on the Library's 3rd Floor. Admission is free, but seating is first come, first served.Written and directed by Wes Anderson, "The Phoenician Scheme" (2025) is a dark comedy thriller about a ruthless international arms dealer who survives multiple assassination attempts and appoints his long-estranged daughter, a novitiate nun, as the successor to his business empire. The ensemble cast includes Benicio del Toro, Mia Threapleton, and Michael Cera.
This 1 hour 41 minute long movie is rated PG-13 for "violent content, bloody images, some sexual material, nude images, and smoking throughout." Closed captioning or subtitles will be turned on.
