Welkom bij Ecstatic Dance Gent. Je vind ons elke vrijdagavond in een prachtig mooie zaal aan Dok Noord. Muziek met legendarische Dj Mukambo uit Brussel! Dansintro met Joke Timmerman18u45 stipt verzamelen met vrijwilligers. We zijn altijd opzoek naar mensen die mee de zaal gezellig willen maken en nadien wat helpen opruimen. Stuur ons een bericht indien interesse. In ruil kan je gratis meedansen die avond.
Dansers welkom vanaf 19u30. Er speelt muziek in de zaal en iedereen komt in stilte binnen. Tijd om aan te komen, stretchen, jezelf in te dansen en op te warmen.

Joke geeft unieke dansworkshops verweven met therapeutische thema’s en natuurcoaching, waarbij ze de veilige ruimte creëert om dansminnenden te laten groeien in bewustzijn en verbinding. Zelf is ze gepassioneerd voor alles wat te maken heeft met bewust bewegen, met grote liefde voor Ecstatic Dance en de 5 Ritmes.

hiphop rhythms that will keep you on the dancefloor till dawn” (BRUZZ, 24/08/2017)
Mukambo founded Global Afrobeat Movement to promote the current global afrobeat scene.
Twenty years after Fela Kuti's death, afrobeat is more alive than ever. Literally every continent has
afrobeat bands and it's safe to say there are more than a hundred bands spread over fifty countries.

♦ Guidelines ♦
Ecstatic Dance gebeurt zonder woorden. Gebruik je lichaam om ten volle tot expressie te komen.
We dansen op blote voeten (zachte dansschoenen ook toegelaten). Er is een grote parketvloer. We houden van een goed geluidsysteem, de ruimte is gezellig ingericht en we voorzien drinkwater en fruit.
Een gevoel van veiligheid is bij ons belangrijk. Solo dansers zijn helemaal welkom bij ons. Dans je graag in verbinding met anderen? Dans samen wanneer je beide een JA voelt. Draag zorg voor jezelf en respecteer elkaars grenzen.
Geen alcohol en drugs toegelaten.
Het is niet toegelaten om foto's of filmpjes te maken.
Zie of voel je dingen die tegen de guidelines ingaan? Blijf er niet mee zitten en deel het in het moment met de ceremonieleider.
Mensen die tegen de guidelines in gaan worden gevraagd om de zaal te verlaten.

Locatie: Doxtudio Gent - Dok-Noord 7/107 - 9000 Gent (Ga naar het midden van het open plein en neem daar de roltrap naar de eerste verdieping) Je vind Doxtudio recht voor jou aan de roltrap. Er staat ook een grote roze olifant voor de deur zo kan je de plek snel herkennen.
Veel dansers komen van overal uit Vlaanderen. Wij moedigen aan om samen te carpoolen.
Tijdstip: elke vrijdagavond ook in vakanties 19u30 tot 22u15
Prijs: Een losse avond is 20 euro / Er zijn ook 10 beurtenkaarten dan is het 15 euro per dans. Studenten en sociaal tarief aan 12 euro. Enkel te betalen cash aan de kassa. Geen inschrijvingen vooraf.
