Opening Reception for this month’s featured artist show, Artistic Oddities, brings together the imaginative works of Susie Shaw and Regina Thomas. Regina works in encaustic and mixed media, often incorporating found and upcycled elements into her art. “I love the variety that is possible with encaustic,” she says, describing her subject matter as ranging from lightly philosophical to whimsical. Susie creates in acrylic, mixed media, pastels, pottery, and sculpture, blending peacefulness, nature, and playfulness into her work. Together, their combined talents offer a show filled with surprise, joy, and creative exploration. On view September 28 – October 25.
