A PRESTIGIOUS ART EXHIBITION-RIGHT HERE IN DUMFRIES !
St. Michael’s Church is honoured to host Silvy Weatherall’s ‘The Last Supper’ - a powerful and moving exhibition inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting and the themes of Easter.
10 April Introductory Talk 6 pm
 11-23 April Exhibition 1-4 pm
 St. Michael’s Church Dumfries
 Talk £5 at door
 Exhibition FREE, donations welcome
Weatherall’s striking 13 life-size sculptures reimagine Da Vinci’s masterpiece, not with paint, but with broken ceramics, carefully restored using the ancient Japanese art of Kinsugi - where cracks are repaired with gold, making something broken even more beautiful than before.
This idea of renewal and transformation connects deeply with the Easter story, refleciting themes of loss, redemption and hope.
A powerful fusion of art, history & faith
Set inside Dumfries’ oldest church with its own rich history
A moving reflection on the Easter message of renewal
We are delighted to welcome Silvy Weatherall herself for an exclusive Talk on Thursday 10 th April at 6 pm. Hear directly from the artist about her creative process and how her work explores themes of history, faith and transformation.
Whether you are drawn to art, history or the deeper meaning of Easter, this exhibition offers something special for everyone.
