«بالحُب»معرض فردي لـ رانيا عاطف

«بالحُب» هو المعرض الفردي الأول للفنانة رانيا عاطف، ويأتي ضمن مشروع فني ممتد تعمل عليه منذ ست سنوات يتناول موضوعي الأمومة والرعاية. تستعرض رانيا في هذا المعرض العلاقة الملتبسة بين العمل الفني والمنزلي، موضحة تداخل أدوارها كأم وفنانة في آن معًا، حيث تتحول الممارسات اليومية إلى أعمال فنية تعكس تداخل أنواع العمل المختلفة الغير مرئية.
يُعيد هذا المشروع تشكيل حدود المنزل والمعرض، وينقل الممارسات المنزلية إلى فضاء العرض، مسلطًا الضوء على أهمية الاعتراف بالجهود اليومية التي تظل غالبًا خارج دائرة الاهتمام العام والمؤسسي، سواء في المجال الفني أو الاجتماعي.
كما يستكشف أدوار الرعاية والعمل غير المأجور بوصفهما أفعالًا مدفوعة بالحُب، لكنه يطرح تساؤلات حول الأنظمة الاقتصادية والرعوية التي تعتمد على هذا النوع من الجهد الخفي لاستمرارها. كما يناقش العلاقة بين الاحترافية والهواية والتوتر بين التمرد على أدوار الرعاية والاعتراف بأهميتها في الوقت ذاته.
لا يهدف المعرض إلى توثيق حياة شخصية بقدر ما يقدم رؤية ذاتية لتقاطعات العمل المنزلي والفني، حيث يمتزج الاثنان في تجربة تحكي عن التداخلات التي تشكّلنا وتدفعنا إلى التساؤل عن حدود ما هو مرئي وغير مرئي. وربما هو محاولة لتسليع العمل الرعوي من خلال المساحات الفنية، في إطار الالتفاف على النظام الاقتصادي الأكبر. في تساؤل: هل العمل الفني قادر على لعب هذا الدور بينما هو خاضع أيضًا لاقتصاديات العمل المرئي؟
يشمل المعرض برنامجًا موازيًا يضم عروض أفلام وقراءات ونقاشات عن العمل والرعاية، يبرمجه القيّم الفني والباحث علي حسين العدوي، وحفل إطلاق ومناقشة كتاب «مخازن الرعاية» للفنانات رانيا عاطف، نادية منير، ومي الشاذلي، مع القيّم الفني ومحرر الكتاب أحمد شوقي حسن.

"Laboring for Love" is the first solo exhibition by artist Rania Atef, part of an extended art project she has been working on for six years, focusing on the themes of motherhood and care. In this exhibition, Rania explores the complex relationship between artistic and domestic work, highlighting the overlap of her roles as both a mother and an artist. Through this lens, daily practices transform into artworks that reflect the intersection of various forms of invisible labor.
The project redefines the boundaries between the home and the gallery, bringing domestic practices into the exhibition space. It sheds light on the importance of recognizing everyday efforts that often remain outside public and institutional acknowledgment, whether in the artistic or social realm.
The exhibition also delves into the roles of caregiving and unpaid labor as acts driven by love, while simultaneously questioning the economic and caregiving systems that rely on this hidden effort for their sustenance. It examines the relationship between professionalism and hobbyism, as well as the tension between resisting caregiving roles and acknowledging their significance.
Rather than documenting a personal life, the exhibition presents a subjective perspective on the intersections of domestic and artistic labor, where the two blend into a narrative that speaks to the overlaps that shape us and prompts reflection on the boundaries between what is visible and invisible. It may also serve as an attempt to commodify caregiving labor through artistic spaces, circumventing the larger economic system. The exhibition poses the question: Can artistic labor play this role while being subject to the economies of visible labor?
The exhibition includes a parallel program featuring film screenings, readings, and discussions on labor and care, curated by art curator and researcher Ali Hussein Al-Adawy. It will also host the launch and discussion of the book "Care Storehouses", co-authored by artists Rania Atef, Nadia Mounir, and Mai El Shazly, with the curator and editor of the book, Ahmed Shawky Hassan.
