The production is based on a play by the French playwright Jean Genet. This is the story of two maids Solange and Claire who are in awe of their Madame at the same time envying her uncontrollably. In the absence of the hostess they try on her things to depict her demeanor and play out entire imaginary scenes. One day after playing the maids anonymously inform the police about Madame's gentleman and decide to K*ll her.
Theater33 offers its interpretation of the performance. You will witness the tragedy of the enslaved mind and the beauty of cold indifference. Theater 33 is a bilingual non-profit public theater founded in 2013 by Marianna Chebotareva a director and graduate of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts. It is the only independent theater in the state of Washington.
