IT'S BACK ☀️The Summer Art Bootcamp will be made up of 6 art workshops introducing contemporary art to young people.
Throughout the six sessions, participants will journey through three key themes in art; The Self and Identity, Space and Place, and Emotion. They will be exposed to local and international artists who express these themes in their work, throughout history and in contemporary art. Participants will discuss and learn about the themes and artists through games and activities led by the tutor. They will then create their own artwork, using a variety of media and techniques. The session will be guided by Maria Borg, a local artist and educator.
Maria has nearly a decade of experience in teaching, she started her career in the primary sector and is currently teaching in the secondary sector. She is also a practicing artist, having had two solo exhibitions in 2021. In this bootcamp participants will be guided by Maria in having an active part in the creation, not only of their own work, but of the final group exhibition, which will be an opportunity to share their work with the public.
