An open invitation is extended for the public to join Trees for Canterbury, to participate in a ‘planting event’, with the Travis Wetland Trust and the Regional Park Rangers of the Christchurch City Council.
This public event is to be held on Saturday October 26th at Ōruapaeroa - Travis Wetland in Christchurch. There will be a public planting of over 1000 native plants to continue work in the Totara-Matai forest planting area.
Ōruapaeroa - Travis Wetland, noted for its regenerating native bush and wildlife habitat, is the largest remaining area of fresh-water wetland in Christchurch.
The event is scheduled between 10.00am and 12.30pm on Saturday 26th October at Ōruapaeroa - Travis Wetland. Location - Lake Kate Sheppard.
Car parking will be in the red zone;
Travis Road to Atlantis Street and Chimera Crescent.
Then 5 minute walk to the site.
No Parking on New Brighton Road.

Bring along family, friends and a spade.
Please bring gloves and wear gumboots if possible!
There will be a BBQ for volunteers after the event, and portable toilets on site.
