About this Event
The National Arts Club, in association with the Mexican Cultural Institute, celebrates Mexico’s rich cultural heritage. This event is free to all New Yorkers and the Mexican community through a Cultural Immigration Initiative grant from City Council Member Carlina Rivera.
Ballet Folklorico Mexicano de Nueva York (BFMNY) and Mariachi Real de Mexico will share the history and cultural diversity of Mexico through live music, dance, songs, and elegant costumes.
The Mariachi Real de Mexico will perform on the stoop of the the National Arts Club at 1 PM. Then the dancers, accompanied by Mariachi Real de Mexico, move indoors to perform traditional dances from the states of Veracruz, Jalisco, and the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.
Traditional costumes of the eight regions of the state of Oaxaca, Mexico, are also on display.

This is an in-person event. Your health and safety are our top priorities and we are following all CDC and guidance. Proof of vaccination as well as a photo ID will be required. Masks are also required.
RSVP does not guarantee entry. Doors open to the public 15 minutes before the event. Please arrive early to check in.
Our coat check is limited. Please do not bring any large bags or backpacks.
