Suéli' cites artists Djavan, Gilberto Gil, Elis Regina, Gal Costa and Paulo Flores as major musical influences.

'My taste for Bossa Nova though comes from my heart. I don't recall being educated in this particular musical style or perhaps I watched to many 'Globo Novelas'!
What I do remember though, was dancing the Merengue, the Semba and Samba in festivities that we enjoy in Portugal. On quiet Sunday afternoons, we used to enjoy Sertaneja Music around the table. So I would describe myself as a fusion between Brasilian Carnival, Angolan Semba and the chilled out Bossa Nova!
I love being surrounded by people as well as a lonely walk in nature where I am transported to my "imagination world" and only I have the key to get in. Being brought up by the sea and blessed with the hot Portimão Sun and Summer, which has so much influenced my writing and music – The songs of my heart'.
