A Hispanic Heritage Celebration at Island SPACE Caribbean Museum
About this Event

Join us for an unforgettable Hispanic Heritage Month celebration blending the rhythms of the Caribbean with the heart of Latin America.

The evening will feature a dynamic panel discussion with President & CEO of the Hispanic Heritage Chamber of Commerce, Mary Sol Gonzalez, Felipe Pinzon, President & CEO of Hispanic Unity of Florida, and South Fulton's Mayor Pro Tem and District 7 Councilwoman Linda Becquer Pritchett. The panel is moderated by City of Sunrise Commissioner Jacqueline Guzman.

Guests will also enjoy live music and dancing by the sensational Melina Almodóvar, along with museum tours, a new exhibit unveiling, networking, a silent auction, and delicious appetizers and refreshments.

NLC-Hispanic Elected Local Officials, Assistant Deputy Mayor Jacqueline Guzman (Sunrise, FL), and Mayor Pro Tem Linda Pritchett (City of South Fulton, GA) invite all HELO members to join us for this event.

Island Society for the Promotion of Artistic and Cultural Education (Island SPACE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of arts, culture, history, and educational initiatives that represent the Caribbean region, in South Florida and the broader diaspora. The public is invited to visit the Caribbean museum Thursdays through Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m. and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. General museum entry is $15 per adult and $7 per child.   1. Park in the lot near the northeast entrance.
  2. Walk north (toward Broward Blvd / the building under construction) along the outside of the building.
  3. Turn into the double doors immediately before the construction.
  4. Walk into the mall for about a minute. We'll be the first storefront on the left.
