Come dive into ¡Celebrando!, as we open Hispanic-Latino Heritage Month celebrations for the Cleveland area! As the longest standing multidisciplinary Latino arts and culture organization in Northeast Ohio, we focus on the preservation and promotion of Latino culture, heritage and art, to amplify the significance of local Latino youth and families. We manage to accomplish such through our diverse programming, fortifying our role as a guiding light for the discovery of Latino historical, cultural, visual, performing, and literary arts right here in Northeast Ohio.¡Celebrando! opens Hispanic-Latino Heritage Month by uniting local families, artists, community members with Cleveland organizations to enjoy and explore vivid displays of culture. Every year we celebrate Hispanic-Latino Heritage Month to honor the countless contributions made by Latinas and Latinos to United States culture. We showcase a mosaic of cultural displays and activities, from Brazilian Axe, Capoeira, Flamenco, Dominican dancing, bomba, salsa, and so much more. Resource tables, live music, immersive art, and captivating performances are all brought together for this celebration by community members and even some of our very own students. Audience members have the opportunity to culturally immerse themselves through interactive dance lessons, among many other hands-on opportunities. Along with this, various presenters, sponsors, and partners will be sharing interactive craft activities for kids and adults alike.
Julia de Burgos Cultural Arts Center’s 11th annual ¡Celebrando! will take place on September 13, 2025. We invite everyone to join as Cleveland’s Latinos rally together to welcome Hispanic-Latino Heritage Month with a beautiful bang!
