About this Event
Zuri Nation's Give Back Dance-A-Thon
Hurricane Melissa has left a devastating mark on Jamaica — destroying homes, livelihoods, and the spirit of small businesses and families who have long embodied the warmth and resilience that make the island so special.
Join Zuri Nation for a heartfelt afternoon dedicated to raising funds and awareness for those affected. Our goal is simple but powerful: to help at least one family and one small business rebuild and recover. Because when we each give a piece, we complete the bigger picture of hope, love, and community.
This event is about unity, compassion, and taking action for the people who’ve influenced, inspired, and shown us the true meaning of “One Love.”
🌪 Hurricane Melissa Impact:
- Struck Jamaica in late October 2025 as a Category 5 storm, one of the strongest ever recorded in the Caribbean
- Parishes such as Westmoreland, St. Elizabeth, Hanover, St. James, and Trelawny suffered catastrophic flooding, roof collapses, and widespread power outages
- Thousands of families and local businesses have been displaced, with damages exceeding $6 billion USD
💛 How You Can Help:
- Attend this meaningful community event and bring a friend
- Donate to support Jamaican families and small businesses recovering from the storm
- Contribute locally: We’ll also be collecting clean clothes, canned goods, and other non-perishables to help families in need across NYC this holiday season
- Share this event to spread awareness and keep the spirit of giving alive
Even if we help just one family and one small business, we’ve done something meaningful. Let’s stand together — for Jamaica, for our city, and for one another.
✨ One Love. One Purpose. One People. ✨
