Zoom Viewing at 216 Asheland Avenue - AmeriHealth Caritas Wellness & Opportunity Center.
All Souls Counseling Center is leading Mental Health Mondays from 2:00 to 3:00 PM through early November at the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce and AmeriHealth Caritas will be showing these via zoom at 216 Asheland Avenue.
In these free mental health education sessions, community members can learn coping skills, how to manage their emotions, how to support others, and how to navigate the difficulties of grief and loss in the wake of Hurricane Helene. Mental Health Mondays can also be attended virtually via Zoom, but we ask all participants to register [forms.gle].
Our next session, "Navigating Grief", will take place on Monday, November 4th. We don't always know how to get through experiences of loss or how to sit with others who are grieving. Led by ASCC clinical therapist Adam Lewis, LCSW, this session will offer normalization of and education around the variety of responses to grief as well as practices that may be useful when recognizing grief and loss in yourself and others.
