Get ready, Santa Cruz! The Santa Cruz Children’s Museum of Discovery (MOD) is bringing big trucks and big messy fun to the Capitola Mall for the very first Zoom Honk Smash: Touch a Truck Festival.
Climb, touch, explore
Kids can hop into the driver’s seat of a fire engine, concrete mixer, SWAT van, real working tractors, and more. Local first responders, construction crews, and vehicle operators will be on hand to answer questions and show off the powerful machines that keep our community running.
Don’t miss the Pumpkin Smash
Watch giant pumpkins get lifted high and smashed in a dramatic, messy explosion. Fun prizes will be awarded after each drop.
Teddy Bear Clinic + Real Ambulance
Thanks to Kaiser Permanente, kids can bring their stuffed animals for a pretend check-up with Cabrillo College nursing students. A real ambulance will be on site to help make emergency medical care feel a little less scary through hands-on exploration and play.
Free Gifts for Medi-Cal Families
Families with at least one adult enrolled in Medi-Cal will receive a free stuffed otter and a one-year MOD museum membership, courtesy of Central California Alliance for Health.
