About this Event

THIS COURSE WILL BE RUN ONLINE via ZOOM - YOU WILL RECEIVE THE LOG IN THE FRIDAY BEFORE THE SESSIONĀ

This is a Course for parents who have had a previous caeasarean section for women either on their own or with a birth partner/companion. It will be on Wednesday 3 February 9:30am-12:30pm.

This course will be taught by Bridget Supple who has herself had 3 successful VBAC births.

We encourage all women booked at the Birmingham Women's to attend our free parent education classes. Please note you MUST be booked at the Women's to attend our classes.

Classes are completely free but must be booked in advance.

The VBAC class is for women who have had a previous caeasarean birth and are hoping to have or considering a normal birth. The class will cover a chance to debrief the previous birth, finding out what a difference it makes being a VBAC, the risks of both VBAC and repeat caesarean and an opportunity to talk to and gain the support of others in the same situation, there will also be a refresher on the birth process (when to come in, pain management etc) and a section on introducing the baby to older siblings. Lots of VBAC class groups have set up their own Facebook group after the classes and supported each other right up to and beyond the birth.

Try to attend your course between 30 and 35 weeks.
