Zones is a duo featuring drummer Brady Kennedy and keyboardist Daniel Combs. Born out of a shared passion for unmitigated creativity and expression, the pair’s style is unapologetically ambitious. Each performance is different, with their compositions serving as starting points for improvisation and musical risk taking. Their debut EP “Areas” was released in January 2025.
Daniel Combs is a keyboardist and composer with a diverse background. He has worked with artists including Elora Dash, Project Smoking Eagle with Felix Pastorius, Caitlin Krisko, Josh Clark’s Visible Spectrum, Awen Family Band and more. In addition to serving as a sideman he has also worked as a bandleader, performing his original music with various lineups featuring some of NC’s finest musicians.
Brady Kennedy is a drummer with a unique vision. While most notably being the founder of the inimitable Math Rock duo Cloutchaser, Brady has also maintained a steady career playing drums for various other acts of different styles. He currently plays with R&B singer Elora Dash, and recently toured the US with the band Squidpisser (founded by GWAR’s Tommy Meehan).
Chris Bullock (of Snarky Puppy) will be joining Zones for this exciting night of live music!
