Green Island School wants to test your brains.Enjoy multiple obstacles including a foam party and waterslide as our zombies close in.
Green Island School has recreated a fun run full of obstacles and our most caring zombies. The obstacles include: tyre run, cargo nets, a maze, a creepy graveyard, foam 'toxic waste' party and a waterslide to wash it all off. Some of our best student actors will be dressed as zombies and will zombie chase you through the course.

Any participant requiring a support person due to any needs or age, can book a supported run.
Any wheelchair user can book into any race and a support person has no charge.
Each obstacle can be adapted - it is your experience- do it your way. Alternative pathways are available at each obstacle.
You have 30 minutes to enjoy any and all of the obstacles and interact with the zombies as much or as little as you like.
Please read the booking details carefully. We required everyone to attend a short safety briefing before they are let free on the course. Please follow our safety and clothing requirements; be prepared to be soaked and dirty.
A wetsuit is a good idea, togs or any smooth material works well on the slide. A change of clothing at the end, towels or a warm blanket are a good idea if the weather is poor- warm drinks available for sale after your run.
Dressing up to participate is encouraged, you can be anything but please don't come as a zombie (our zombies wear nametags). No buttons, zips, spiky objects, fairy wings with wire supports etc that could rip our slip n slide. Your clothing will be checked at registration and the safety briefing. Heavy clothing like denim will not work on the slip n slide. No jewellery, watches etc, if ears are newly pieced cover studs with tape please. Eye glasses can be worn at your own risk.
Shoes are optional on the course, our field is made for bare feet, most people ran in barefoot last year and enjoyed the mud between their toes. No shoes can be worn on the slip n slide. We have a basket to collect these at the top of the slide if you chose to wear them; these can be collected at the end of your run from the bag check area in the Zombie Store gazebo.
We can not take responsibility for missed times or lost tickets. Please plan to be early.
We have procedures to follow if an injury does occur or any of the obstacles require attention- these unlikely situations may cause delays to our timetable. Thank you for your patience and understanding and we assure you everyone will be able to take their turn at our Zombie Fun Run.
Zombie tokens for cooked food can be purchased with cash or eftpos at the Zombie Bank and exchanged at the hot food service areas. Our Zombie Store will sell other food and can only take cash. Bringing cash for these smaller purchases will make your purchasing much faster. We do have eftpos but this is mainly for those who want to purchase hot food for a family in one transaction, we can not guarantee we will have the time or large amounts of cash to withdraw for spending in the village, so pleased come prepared as you would a school fair.
Plan to spend the whole time with us and enjoy snacks and food in our village called 'Zombie Green' which opens at10:30am. Set up a picnic, eat some Zombie snacks. You will have time to get settled in and registered if you have an 11am run by arriving at 10:30am. You can use our bag check service or spread your runs out throughout the day so your family can set up somewhere and enjoy the atmosphere.
This event has been carefully planned with flexibility to include the diverse physical needs of our community, as you go around the run our friendly marshals can point out alternatives and options open to you, to do the course your way.
You are responsible for following the safety guidelines and knowing your own limits. This is a fun-run, not a race. You will enjoy it more if you go at a zombie pace.
This event will run rain or shine, the only thing that would postpone is strong winds making dangerous conditions at some of our obstacles. Our postponement date is Sunday 6th April 2025, the run times on your ticket will be the same. In the very unlikely event that we cancel, your ticket will be refunded less 20 percent for our administration and hire costs which are not recoverable by the school.
