Before the internet, there were zines: handmade, photocopied bursts of rebellion and creativity passed from hand to hand. They were (and still are) the voice of the unheard: the activists, artists, punks, poets, and anyone who believes that stories belong to everyone.Join us for an interactive zine-making workshop led by Zine Bros Distro, who’ll take us through the history, purpose, and power of these pocket-sized revolutions. Learn how to fold your own eight-page zine, explore different formats and uses, and get your hands ink-deep in DIY storytelling.
You’ll leave with your own handmade zine, complete with the option to make and fold some copies to share, and maybe the itch to start your own movement.
Tickets are $5 per person (because creative people need to get paid, too!)
