Zine Making With Artist Zaire Miles-Moultrie
In connection with artist Becky Joye's Lighthouse quilted house installation inside So&So Books, we will be creating our own zines inspired by the storytelling found in artist Zaire Miles-Moultrie's work. Join us first in the tent to learn about Zaire's work, then we will head downstairs to the project space and create our own storytelling through the art of the zine. Zaire is currently an emerging artist-in-residence at Artspace in downtown Raleigh.
Zaire Miles-Moultrie is a Black artist based in Greensboro, North Carolina, whose creative journey is a testament to the profound impact of identity and culture on artistic expression. With a diverse array of mediums at his disposal, including drawing, collaging, and printmaking, he intricately weaves together elements of history, spirituality, and personal experience to explore the complex and surreal nature of blackness and life. Zaire is currently an emerging artist-in-residence at Artspace in downtown Raleigh.
