Unifying multidisciplinary practises of poetry, music, and illustration, her trans (a)genda is an affirmation of transness in picture-book form. Celebrating and exploring the links between tonality and trans-feminine identity, the piece endeavours to imagine (be)coming, (trans)formation, and free vaginas in vending machines with an earnest air of silliness and willing pretension.
Experience an improvisatory, exploratory, experimental hour of poetry at Bedlam and Squalor, presented by olive (bly(th)), Dillon Butcher, and Alex Cherian. Ticket price includes a copy of her trans (a)genda.
“her trans (a)genda is the sacrifice / of ex and why / chromosomes / to arteries pumping blue blood and shed identities / to frozen sperm / to party dresses, orange blush, and lost lipstick caps…”
