This four session workshop on Friday mornings will focus on the basics of zinc plate etching using copper sulphate as the etchant. Students will learn how to prepare plates, use hard ground to make a line etching and apply an aquatint to develop a range of tones in their prints.Beginners welcome but this is also a chance to explore new techniques or refine existing skills, such as chine colle, soft ground and using stencils.
