About this Event
Bruce Ncube is a Zimbabwean musicians with over 15 years of touring and traveling the world teaching and performing in some of the world's biggest stages such as WOMAD/African Drum Village (Scotland)/Edinburgh International Festival/Aberdeen International Youth Festival/ World Music Workshop Festival. Bruce specialises in teaching traditional songs from his native country Zimbabwe in 3 to 6 part harmonies. His teaching is in the traditional way where people would gather around a fire,at weddings, parties and even funerals and statt weaving harmonies. His approach is entirely inclusive and participatory. The songs he teaches are emotionally charged and uplifting carrying messages of hope, inspiration and togetherness.
Please bring a packed lunch and a water bottle- we will have a lunch break at 1.00pm. Hot drinks will be provided.
Parking is available in the Centre carpark and there is plenty of free street parking also.
Family and Friends are invited to the last 30 mins of the workshop so that can hear the group perform the songs they have learnt.
